Planning Submission: Leafbridge

Stirlin Developments are delighted to reveal our vision for the future of Leafbridge; our 44 acre brownfield site, located off Station Road in North Hykeham, Lincoln.

The proposals, which have recently been submitted to North Kesteven District Council for approval, will see the creation of over 300,000 sqft of employment space as well as access roads, car parking and public open space. Leafbridge will also support approximately 432 jobs, including the potential creation of 216 new roles.

The revised proposals expand upon the 6 acre of commercial development, which achieved planning consent in 2014, and provide direct links to the transport network via North Hykeham railway station and the Access Lincoln Transport Hub at the front of the site.

The new application has been drawn up by a team led by Lincoln-based Globe Consultants and is due for determination in Summer 2017.

The supporting documents, submitted as part of the planning application, say: “Stirlin Developments, as the principal developer behind Leafbridge Limited, has a proven track record of bringing freehold employment sites to the market. The application comes on the back of Stirlin’s success with its Saxilby Enterprise Park.

“Stirlin’s model has not only seen significant growth in the development company itself, it has also supported significant growth in those businesses that have purchased property from Stirlin; something which is recorded, evidenced and openly acknowledged by council officers.

“As a consequence of ambitious new businesses driving company growth within their own premises the units at Saxilby Enterprise Park have seen the initial total of 106 employees accommodated when first occupied rise to 248 at last count.”
