James Kirby – January Update

Stirlin Developments and Homes by Stirlin have made a very promising start to the year in terms of enquires in both residential and commercial. In fact, it is the busiest January I can recall in 11 years of business, with deals agreed in January totalling close to £1m.

I am currently having several ongoing discussions with interested parties in regard to our commercial developments. Our Homes by Stirlin property consultant team are working hard to agree further residential deals in coming weeks.

Construction continues on schedule at Leafbridge, Kirk’s Yard, Riverside Enterprise Park, Stirlin Business Park, Lodge Lane and Unit 15 at Stirlin Point.

Our development team are working very hard providing designs and “working up” planning applications. Submissions will be made throughout the year in order to stay ahead of demand for our products. New phases of development will be submitted to the local planning authorities at our sites Kirks Yard, Riverside Enterprise Park, Leafbridge, Enterprise West Lindsey and at least two new sites to be announced. I would personally like to thank John Roberts Architects for their contribution over the past few months. Their knowledge and experience has been invaluable, particularly in the master planning of large commercial sites.

I am very excited at the prospect of our Woodbank residential scheme at Skellingthorpe and look forward to working with Framework Architects and our other consultant partners in ‘working up’ our reserved matters application and commencing construction this year. We look forward to working closely with the officers at North Kesteven District Council over the coming months. Our aim is to deliver a scheme that delivers on quality and assists meeting the housing targets within the NKDC district. Those looking to express interest should register their interest with Abby Evans, our property consultant via e-mail abby@homesbystirlin.com

An exciting development in our business this month has been the move of Stirlin Plant into a purpose built unit at Stirlin Point. The new facility provides the space required to offer further services such as plant, tool and commercial vehicle servicing, as well as stocking a large range of tools, plant and spares for sale to the trade and the public. Our plant manager Lee Hodgkins continues to do a fantastic job and is excited by the move and the benefits the extra space provides.

Our Homes by Stirlin Open Weekend at Lodge Lane on the 26th and 27th January was an excellent success, with a huge turnout and so many positive comments about our development and build quality.

I would also just like to say a big thank you to the Stirlin Team, whose efforts and hard work are hugely appreciated.
