New Units unveiled at Riverside Enterprise Park

The second phase of spacious purpose-built units have been successfully completed in Saxilby by renowned developers, Stirlin Developments.

The units are situated at Riverside Enterprise Park, a 5.8 acre development in popular Saxilby, just three miles from the Lincoln Bypass and five miles from Lincoln City Centre.

Riverside Enterprise Park has continued to grow from strength to strength, proving to be very popular with local commercial businesses as phase 1 and 2 of the development have tenants already beginning to occupy the units, whilst phase 3 of project will be exclusively for the council to let.

As previously reported, West Lindsey District Council had planned to purchase 6,000sq ft of workspace on the Riverside Enterprise Park.

The council had planned to invest in this key strategic site to help small and medium ‘start-up’ businesses, as this project will create much-needed employment opportunities and provide new entrepreneurs with the chance to flourish.

Matt Padley, Development Coordinator at Stirlin Developments was thrilled to announce that Phase 2 of the development had been completed.

He said: “We partner with West Lindsey’s Building Control department on all our commercial and residential developments through the LABC scheme. This scheme allows us to work closely with West Lindsey and City of Lincoln Council’s Building Control officers to ensure our designs are to all current regulations and are implemented on site during construction.

“We have been developing in Saxilby since the start of Stirlin Developments, back in 2008. Businesses are always keen to be located in the area and we have always been supported by both the district council and the parish council so it’s always made it an easy decision for us to be involved in developing the areas.

“We are due to start on site with Phase 3 at the start of June and Phase 4, consisting of 3 hybrid office/warehouse units, is currently in for planning with a decision due imminently. We also have a new commercial development ‘Enterprise West Lindsey’ which we are launching later in the year along with a number of residential developments within the district.”

Cllr David Cotton, Ward Member for Saxilby was delighted to hear that the third phase of the project had been completed, he said: “The Riverside Enterprise Park is an asset to the area, it is an ideal location for businesses to flourish and expand. I’m excited to see what further developments are in store for the site.”

West Lindsey District Council’s building control team have been the inspecting authority for Stirlin Developments on the project. Phillip Westmorland, interim lead surveyor at West Lindsey District Council was excited to be invited to look around the finished development off Skellingthorpe Road.

He said: “It is great to be invited to see phase 2 of the development completed, and we are very impressed with the quality of this development – the units are in such a brilliant location that benefits from West Lindsey’s rural countryside but still has easy access to Lincoln.”

The council has invested in phase 3 of the development, which is close to the A1 which will attract businesses as it is positioned well in terms of national access from a local location.

David Ashworth, Principal Building Control Officer for Lincoln Building Control Services was delighted to work under the LABC Partnership scheme with both Stirlin Developments and West Lindsey Building Control and this excellent development.

David said: “This was a great opportunity to work with Stirlin Developments and West Lindsey Council Building Control on the redevelopment of this site to reinvigorate the area and provide highly sought after modern commercial industrial units.”

Stirlin Developments are eager to further develop at the site as they have submitted planning permission to build three hybrid units, consisting of both office and workshop space.
