Metro Rod

In 2019, Stirlin completed the construction of a bespoke 5,000 sq ft office and warehouse for Metro Rod (Hull, Lincoln and Peterborough), located on Riverside Enterprise Park in Saxilby.

Metro Rod is a leading provider of drain clearance and maintenance services, with over 40 franchisees across the majority of the UK.

Having been impressed by its location, with prominence along the A57 and excellent connectivity to the wider road network, Metro Rod approached Stirlin about the possibility of developing a contemporary office and warehouse on the popular business park.

Joining forces with developer, Castle Square Securities, Stirlin were asked to design and develop a business premises to assist the specialist commercial drainage company with its continued expansion.

The successful project resulted in a contemporary building with accommodation across two floors. The building features open plan and individual office spaces, as well as client specific requirements, such as facilities for staff welfare and training.

The striking building was also nominated by West Lindsey Building Control for the LABC Building Excellence Awards.

 

Managing Director of the Metro Rod franchise for Hull, Lincolnshire and Peterborough, Spencer Horsfield said, “We employ 26 people and it is great that they are all moving with us when we switch to Saxilby in February, when I am also looking to take on 10 more people.  We currently operate a fleet of 26 vehicles.”

The premises for Metro Rod is loctaed on Stirlin’s Riverside Enterprise Park development.

Riverside Enterprise Park is situated to the North West of Lincoln, just three miles from the Lincoln Bypass and five miles from Lincoln City Centre.

The site is clearly visible from the A57 trunk road, which is used by in excess of 12,000 vehicles per day, and the nearby village of Saxilby provides a full range of local services and facilities including shops, post office and pubs.
