Newport Place, Lincoln

Newport Place is a characterful Edwardian property situated next to the Roman ‘Newport Arch’ and entrance to the historic Bailgate in the City of Lincoln.

In early 2016 Stirlin were appointed as the Main Contractor to carry out extensive renovation works to the property, creating four bespoke apartments within the main building and a unique ‘Mews’ style house in the former stable block.

Stirlin worked alongside the client, St Hugh, and architects, Jonathan Roberts Architects, to sensitively restore historic features to the property whilst ensuring the new apartments and ‘Mews’ house met contemporary living requirements.

The development also included two boutique retail units on the ground floor, with large frontages onto Newport. Both units are presently let and occupied.
