Stirlin announce sponsorship of Lee Jackson in the British Superbike Championship
Stirlin has announced its sponsorship of Lincoln’s pro motorbike racer, Lee Jackson, in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship.
The ‘Personal Sponsorship’ deal will support Lee throughout the 2022 season and includes Stirlin’s branding displayed on race leathers, along with sponsor advertisement in televised interviews.
The season started in April 2022 and will run until October 2022, with televised races held in various locations across the UK, broadcast on various national and international networks, including Eurosport and Discovery +.
Having been born and raised in Lincoln, Lee began his career in motorbike racing back in 2008, following in the footsteps of his father and uncle.
Lee made his debut in the British Superbike Championship class in 2014, achieving a second-place finish at Cadwell Park in 2017. He started out racing Super Moto and previously raced in the Superstock 1000 class, where he secured countless race wins and pole positions. In 2012, he won the Pirelli National Superstock 600 Championship in his first season, on a 600cc machine.
This year, Jackson is racing for FS3 Kawasaki in association with Kawasaki UK and is on the hunt for his maiden win in the 2022 British Superbike Championship.
Lee Jackson says of the support “I’d like to thank Stirlin for offering their support for another season. I’m so grateful to be backed by an established business that has roots in my hometown.”
“2022 is my most important year to date – I have a great team around me and a bike that’s been improving year on year. I have the package to do a good job this season, so I’m really looking forward to competing for my first British Superbike win and aiming for the Showdown position and top 3 in the championship.”
James Kirby, Owner and Founder of Stirlin, says “We are delighted to sponsor Lee again for another season. As a business proudly based in Lincoln, Stirlin are always eager to support local talent wherever possible.”
“Lee has a real chance of breaking into the top 3 and achieving the showdown position at the end of the season – he has all it takes to challenge for the British Superbike Championship and we’re backing him all the way. We look forward to tracking his progress and we wish him all the best throughout the season ahead.”
The next round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship will run over the May Bank Holiday weekend starting from Saturday 30th April and takes place at Oulton Park.
