Stirlin Plant announces new sponsorship

Our Plant Machinery division, Stirlin Plant, has announced its sponsorship of Lincoln’s pro motorbike racer, Lee Jackson, for the Bennetts British Superbike Championship.

The sponsorship will support Lee throughout the 2024 season, which starts in April and will run until October 2024, with televised races held in various locations across, broadcast on various national and international networks, including Eurosport and Discovery +.

Born and raised in Lincoln, Lee made his debut in the British Superbike Championship class in 2014, achieving a second-place finish at Cadwell Park in 2017. He started out racing Super Moto and previously raced in the Superstock 1000 class, where he secured countless race wins and pole positions. In 2012, he won the Pirelli National Superstock 600 Championship in his first season, on a 600cc machine.

Lee achieved an impressive 4th place in the 2023 championship, for the second season running. This year, he is riding for MasterMac Honda by Hawk Racing, a team based in Leicestershire who he previously rode for under the Buildbase BMW banner.

Lee Jackson says of the support: “I have partnered with the Stirlin Group for over 10 years, so I’m very grateful to receive the support once again, but under a new banner of Stirlin Plant. It’s always great to have locally rooted businesses onboard, and Stirlin Plant is just that. It’s a fantastic opportunity for me to support local and generate exposure to support Stirlin Plant’s growth, not only in Lincolnshire but through-out the UK.

Having sponsors is a significant part of motorbike racing, so I really appreciate the support from Stirlin Plant. In return, I hope I can do them proud advertising and offering VIP trips for their team and their clients.”

Martin Wade, General Manager of Stirlin Plant, expresses his enthusiasm about the sponsorship agreement with Lee for the upcoming 2024 season: “As a Lincoln-based business, Stirlin Plant is committed to supporting local talent, and this sponsorship is a testament to that commitment.

On a personal level, as an avid biker and motorbike racing fan for over 40 years, I am particularly thrilled about cheering Lee on with the Hawk racing team this season. Attending the BSB rounds is a highlight for me, where I’ll have the pleasure of also hosting Stirlin Plant customers for hospitality.

We are eagerly anticipating Lee’s performance and are fully behind him in his pursuit of victory in the 2024 season. Lee has the skill and determination to contend for the British Superbike Championship, and the Stirlin Plant team extend our best wishes for a successful season ahead. We eagerly look forward to following his journey and celebrating his achievements.”

The first round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship will run over 20th & 21st April, taking place in Spain at Circuito de Navarra.
